What is your minimum move cost?
Currently, we are charging 200 per hour. Unlike other companies, we do not have a minimum hour charge. If you need us for an hour then you’ll only pay us for that hour. We do not make you pay for 2 – 4 hours if you don’t need it. If you have a couch to move across the street, you will pay us for the hour it will take. Don’t hesitate to call us because NO JOB is ever too SMALL.
Do you have a Certificate of Insurance?
Yes. Our insurance certificate includes workers’ compensation insurance. Smilin’ Mike’s NYC Movers carries over $5,000,000 coverage, which is way above average. All our certificates are free of charge.
Do you provide blankets and wrap?
When moving to NYC with Smilin’ Mike’s, you never have to worry about your furniture. All your furnishings receive extra care. We wrap it all in blankets and plastic, so it arrives in the same condition as when it left. Furnishings are disassembled and assembled for you, too.
How long does a NYC move take?
We are ready when you are. We do last-minute 2-3 hour rush moves within the city. Our team of qualified, experienced movers gets your job done fast and efficiently. A typical move, in and around the 5 boroughs is 5-8 hours. But you don’t have to worry cause we’ll be doing all the hard lifting and driving while you sit back and relax.
Who pays for the labor and travel expenses?
Our team’s salaries and the travel expenses for your NYC move (gas, tolls, parking) are computed into the quote you’re given. You will pay the guaranteed flat fee quoted. Once you receive your selection, it is final. There are never any hidden or extra fees.
